Twelve month heart operation waits

Download table of results for all trusts (2.6MB)
Number of patients waiting more than 12 months for a coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) throughout the year. The target is that no patients should have waited more than 12 months throughout the year.

Rationale
The maximum 12-month wait standard has been in place since April 2002. The Government target is to expand revascularisation capacity to maintain and improve on the maximum 12 month wait so that a growing number of patients are treated within 9 months.
