CPA systems implementation

Download table of results for all trusts (2.6MB)
Criterion for CPA systems implementation is that CPA details and care plans are held on electronic systems which are regularly updated and available 24 hours a day.

Rationale
Effective CPA systems are essential to providing seamless care for service users with a severe mental illness. Speedy access to appropriate CPA systems 24 hours a day also reduces the risk of suicide in line with targets set out in the Department of Health's 'National Suicide Prevention Strategy' (2002). See also DH guidance on 'Effective Care Coordination in Mental Health Services - Modernising the Care Programme Approach' (SSI/NHSE 1999).
